September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Now is the time for all members of the North Okaloosa community to come together to share information and offer resources to those affected by suicide. Connecting potential victims with treatment options and supporting survivors with the personal and practical services needed to begin the healing process are crucial components of a caring and effective response to these painful and traumatic events.

Victims and families deal with a broad array of issues in a suicide. Extending a hand to neighbors, friends, family, business partners, and others is the least our community can do to help. When the community comes together in an effort to conquer this challenging set of circumstances it gives cause for hope to those who are directly affected. We are honored to be part of a multifaceted team extending a hand to our neighbors experiencing this type of loss.
